Commission Terms

Payment

50% of the total cost of the artwork is due upfront as a non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% is due prior to final shipment. Domestic shipping is available at the expense of the Client. Local delivery (within the Seattle area) is free and recommended when possible.

 

Timeline

The estimated completion date is based on the planned reference photo, procurement of materials, and workload. Unforeseen circumstances or revisions may result in delays. In these cases, the Artist will do the best of their ability to notify the Client ahead of time. The work will typically be shipped or delivered within 2 weeks of completion.

 

Copyright

The Artist retains the copyright to all works commissioned by the Client, including all reproduction rights and the right to claim statutory copyright. To this end, the Artist may use photos of the piece to promote their work. The Client may not reproduce or alter the artwork without the written consent of the Artist.

 

Right of refusal

In the event the Client does not wish to purchase the final artwork, they may refuse it. In this case, the Artist will retain the refused artwork and the non-refundable deposit.

 

Returns

There are no returns or refunds once the Client takes possession of the artwork.

 

Revisions

After the artwork is completed, the Artist will send images of the final work to the Client for approval. One round of revisions is offered free of charge. After that, additional revisions are offered for an hourly rate of $30. Revisions may cause delays to the Estimated Completion Date.
