Born and raised in Seattle, my work is influenced by time spent outdoors hiking, running, and skiing throughout the Pacific Northwest. I hope that my art inspires inspection, appreciation, and celebration of this beautiful region and its ecosystem.

Rowing is another common motif of my work. I competed as a coxswain for nearly 10 years, 4 of which on the University of Washington D1 Rowing Team. I’m drawn to rowing as a subject because of its intersection between sports, culture and the natural landscape.
